Interested in seeing where today's Americans are packing up and relocating to? SpareFoot was, and that's why they put together a statistical graphic of where the U.S. population is booming.



Here's a hint - face the equator or the setting sun and you'll be on track.

Communities to the south and west dominate recent population growth trends, with a few exceptions.

"Over the next 15 years, America is in for tremendous demographic change," Emily Badger of the Washington Post?recently wrote.

Parts of the country, particularly the Rust Belt and the Great Plains, will lose population during that period.

Meanwhile, the size of many cities in the South and West -- like Charlotte, North Carolina, and Las Vegas, Nevada -- will swell.
